My name is Cherry Thompson and I am an English painter living in Oxfordshire. I divide my time between painting in my studio and running my gallery and picture-framing workshop, all situated in my beautiful Oxfordshire orchard where I have my two friends David and Derek, my donkeys, living alongside me, sharing the tranquility of the orchard.
My paintings range in subject according to public demand. If you have the time to browse through the galleries you will see paintings already sold as examples and also many others that are still avgailable. Prices reflect how much preparation and labour have gone into the paintings. With animal portraits the price is lower if I am working from reference material supplied as opposed to my visiting the subject and taking and producing my own photos and sketches.
Some of the paintings within the galleries are samples of work by my late partner Tom Osborne, who died in 2002. A large proportion of his work was published in book form, available at the price of Ј15 plus p&p, Ј7.50 of which is donated to his favourite charities. The book can be seen here. Many of his paintings are available for sale, and prices are appreciating, but as a general rule the smaller works are from Ј1000, medium from Ј2000 and the large formats are from Ј4000, all plus VAT.
